CRUSH Hunger 2012 - Columbians Reaching Unfed and Starving Homes
CRUSH Hunger 2012 was a huge success. On Sunday September 30th, over 400 volunteers packaged 112,968 meals to be shipped to Kenya to feed the starving. To help put this in perspective, that was enough for everyone in the city of Columbia to have a meal. Additionally the volunteers brought in 394 pounds of Peanut Butter for the Central Missouri Food Bank buddy pack program. The only thing that limited this event was the lack of funds to purchase the food for the starving. We have the capacity and volunteers to easily package a quarter million meals. Update: Thrivent will be matching 1 dollar per every 3 dollars donated up to $2,000.

On Sept 30th 2012, we are packing food at the Parkade Center from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Form a team and come pack food for 2+ hour shift! Click here to register your team/family to help package food for the needy.
